Europa on Alma roof terrace - artist's impression

The future of retirement living is here

An array of energy-efficient features at Europa on Alma have earned the building an impressive 7.2 energy rating under the Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme.

In anticipation of the uptake of Electric Vehicles (EVs), electric vehicle charging bays are being installed in the basement carpark. Every apartment at Europa on Alma has at least one car space, and buyers will have the option to specify an EV charging point when they purchase. To reduce car usage and harmful emissions even further, a communal electric vehicle will be also provided for residents to share.

To minimise electrical consumption, the development incorporates high energy light fittings with time switches, motion sensor light fittings and solar panels to provide electricity to shared living areas. Recycled water from a rainwater capture tank will be used to irrigate garden areas, including the internal courtyard and rooftop terrace garden beds.

Hot water will be supplied by instantaneous gas-fired condensed systems providing 84% thermal efficiency to all apartments, all fixtures and fittings will have a WELS (Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards) rating within one star of the highest available. Residents have the satisfaction of knowing they are saving on energy bills, as well as saving the environment.

Europa on Alma is ideal for purchasers looking for housing that takes them into the future – and helps them leave behind a healthier planet for their children and grandchildren.
